As I had recently informed our patients, I am the principal investigator for two clinical research studies conducted at Medsol, located at The Promenades Mall in Port Charlotte. I am currently seeking individuals 40 to 80 years of age with COPD. This study offers compensation for the study subjects’ time, and requires only a handful of once monthly visits. The visits are short, from 30 minutes to one hour, and may consist of a physical examination, lab work and/or spirometry/pulmonary function testing. Please consider contacting my office, or Sue or Maria at Medsol at (941) 623-9744, with any questions you may have regarding this study. Study subjects do not have to be patients in my practice. In fact, they may be under the care of other allergists, pulmonologists or primary care physicians. Primary care physicians tend to be reluctant to have their patients participate in similar studies over concerns of losing the patient. Let me assure you I do not steer patients away from their PCPs, and do not alter their primary medical care. If you, your loved ones, or friends have asthma or COPD, please consider contacting us.
